Google Photos Introduces AI-Powered Virtual Try-On Feature for Clothes

Google Photos is set to revolutionize the way you interact with your wardrobe by launching a new AI-powered feature that allows you to virtually try on clothes you already own. By utilizing the photos in your gallery, Google will curate a virtual “wardrobe” for you, enabling you to mix and match outfits, save your favorite looks, and even share them with friends.

A recent video released by Google demonstrates how Google Photos categorizes your outfits and individual clothing items, transforming them into a digital “wardrobe.” Users can easily browse through their captured outfits and create new ones by selecting from a variety of tops, bottoms, skirts, dresses, and shoes to curate a fresh look.

Furthermore, users have the option to virtually try on each outfit by clicking on the button located in the bottom right corner of the screen. This interactive feature adds a fun and engaging element to the virtual styling experience.

While Google had previously introduced an AI virtual try-on feature for shopping purposes within Search, this new “wardrobe” feature in Google Photos takes it a step further by focusing on personal styling. Initially rolling out to Android devices later this summer, the feature is expected to expand to iOS devices in the near future, offering users a convenient and innovative way to interact with their clothing collection.
