Publisher Wales Interactive and developer Ant Workshop have revealed the release date for Into the Slimy Mines, a dwarven roguelike tower defense game.
Into the Slimy Mines is scheduled to launch on May 29th for Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PS5. Players have had access to a playable demo.

Into the Slimy Mines is a roguelike tower defense game that puts you in the shoes of a worker at Ironkilt Intergalactic Industries. Things take a turn for the worse when your mining vessel crashes on a moon infested with slime, leading to the loss of your entire crew!
Your mission is to rescue your crew and recover your cargo of valuable ore before your Boss decides to pass the coveted Stout Hammer to a more capable dwarf. Acquire cards and booster packs, discover powerful combos, and carve out a path to eliminate those pesky slimes. Dig, construct, defend – and escape from this challenging moon!

- DRILL TO SAFETY: Save your crew from 30 dig sites across 6 distinct biomes, each with 5 progressively challenging depths. Use Dig cards to create new tunnels towards your missing crew members, but beware, these paths are also the routes of your enemies!
- DIVERSE PLAYSTYLES: Choose from 3 unique guilds: ANVIL, WARHAMMER, & PICKAXE. Select from 6 upgradeable Drill Rigs and customize them with up to 30 different add-ons to suit your playstyle and combat the hazards of each location.
- IMMERSE IN LORE: Uncover the tale of Captain Firebeard and his intergalactic Dwarven crew by rescuing them from the troublesome slimes and collecting up to 20 datapads. Say hello to the ship’s AI, F.O.R.G.E on our behalf.

- CONSTRUCT WEAPONS: In addition to rescuing your crew, why not gather more resources along the way? Drills can unearth ore for quick cash, lures can distract your slimy adversaries, and generators can keep your entire rig operational as you delve deeper.
- CREATE DURABLE STRUCTURES: Upgrade your equipment by stacking identical cards. A Level 1 Cannon combined with another Level 1 Cannon equals a Level 2 Cannon – the math is sound! With 10 Buildings and 26 turrets, there are numerous options for enhancement.
- PROGRESS THROUGH META: Enhance your abilities as you descend deeper into the mine. With 17 Meta upgrades available, defeating slimes will become increasingly manageable.
- Defend
- FIGHT SLIME ATTACKS: Safeguard your rig from waves of incoming slimes. Utilize 26 different turrets, each with 3 upgrade levels, to eliminate the threats or slow them down with displacers and blockades.
- RESCUE THE DWARVES: Need extra support? Employ 15 Gadget cards to hinder or eliminate groups of slimes, repair structures mid-wave, and bolster your defenses.
