Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 Officially Revealed
Cold Iron Studios and Daybreak have officially announced Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, following its unofficial reveal by the ESRB in October. The announcement trailer showcases the Colonial Marines being deployed to planet LV-558, a colony overrun by xenomorphs. This time, the focus is on survival rather than rescue.
The original Aliens: Fireteam Elite had squads of three working together, but the sequel promises bigger everything, including team size. Teams of four will now band together to face hordes of Xenomorphs in various buildings. Players will encounter different types of Xenomorphs, each with unique weaknesses that require tactical adaptation. The game introduces new classes like the Specialist, allowing players to create custom builds by mixing and matching skills from different classes.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 will feature a Horde mode with multiple maps where squads can challenge themselves against increasingly dangerous foes. This mode will test players’ skills and teamwork to survive the alien onslaught.
In our review of Aliens: Fireteam Elite, Nic noted the game’s lack of mission variety, technical issues, and repetitive structure. Despite these flaws, the game still offers an enjoyable experience for players.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 is set to release this summer for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms, offering players a new and improved cooperative alien-hunting experience.
