London’s PANTA raises €3.4 million to modernise how financial indices are built and managed

PANTA, a dynamic SaaS FinTech startup based in London, has successfully secured €3.4 million (£3 million) in a recent funding round led by Fuel Ventures. The funding round consists of €1.7 million (£1.5 million) from the UK venture capital fund and an additional €1.7 million (£1.5 million) provided as an Innovate UK Innovation Loan.

CEO and co-founder of PANTA, Tobias Sproehnle, expressed the company’s mission to revolutionize the construction and management of financial indices. Sproehnle emphasized the need to modernize the outdated systems that have constrained producers and users of indices for too long. By digitizing the entire value chain, PANTA aims to assist clients in innovating faster, operating more efficiently, and delivering greater value to investors.

Established in 2024 by Sproehnle and Mark Pralle, PANTA enables financial institutions to create and manage intricate, customized indices and portfolios with unparalleled scale, speed, and precision. The company highlights the significance of the index industry, which supports over €10.4 trillion (£9.1 trillion) in UK assets under management and more than €103 trillion ($120 trillion) globally. Despite the substantial market size, much of the industry still relies on manual processes, spreadsheets, and outdated technology. As the demand for flexible, data-driven index products grows, providers are under pressure to innovate while grappling with legacy systems ill-suited for modern scale.

PANTA positions itself as a solution that replaces legacy operations with a contemporary, end-to-end system that automates index design, calculation, and delivery. The company’s technology integrates front-end design tools with a scalable calculation engine, enabling clients to swiftly create, test, and launch indices while automating essential workflows such as rebalancing, reporting, and compliance.

The platform caters to asset managers, index providers, and data platforms, offering them the ability to reduce time-to-market, lower infrastructure costs, and enhance operational efficiency. PANTA has already onboarded its initial clients and established partnerships with key strategic allies.

Mark Pearson, Managing Partner at Fuel Ventures, commended PANTA’s platform for introducing unprecedented levels of automation and scalability to the index market. With a history of building and exiting high-growth businesses, the PANTA team is well-positioned to lead the next wave of innovation in financial data infrastructure.

With the recent funding injection, PANTA intends to expand its engineering team, accelerate product development, and scale commercial operations as it transitions from pilot to full-scale deployment. The company also plans to pursue a larger Series A funding round in early 2027.

In conclusion, PANTA’s innovative approach to transforming the financial indices landscape signifies a significant step towards modernizing an industry ripe for disruption. The company’s commitment to automation, scalability, and efficiency positions it as a key player in reshaping the future of financial data infrastructure.
