EA and Codemasters Unveil F1 25: 2026 Season Pack DLC

Electronic Arts (EA) and Codemasters have recently announced the release of the F1 25: 2026 Season Pack, a downloadable content pack that will bring the latest season’s teams, liveries, and new era of cars to the F1 25 game. This transformative DLC is set to launch on June 3rd, 2026, offering players an immersive experience of the current Formula One season.

This groundbreaking DLC marks a significant milestone for the gaming industry, as it introduces a new year of a sports series through downloadable content. Similar instances are rare, with FIFA World Cup DLC being one of the few examples. The F1 25: 2026 Season Pack promises a complete overhaul of the game, incorporating all the elements of the 2026 Formula One season into F1 25.

The DLC includes the introduction of two new teams: Audi, which has rebranded and replaced Sauber, and Cadillac, the new 11th team on the grid. Cadillac has enlisted Valterri Bottas and Sergio Perez as their drivers, positioning custom teams as the 12th team on the grid. Additionally, the new Madring street circuit, located around the IFEMA Exhibition Centre in Madrid, will be added to the game.

The highlight of the DLC is the new era of cars, designed according to the updated rules and regulations for the 2026 season. These cars feature dual mode front and rear wings for drag reduction, simplified engines with only the ICE and KERS components, and an emphasis on electrical energy deployment during races. Notably, cars can activate an Overtake Mode to deploy more energy when in close proximity to another car.

Lee Mather, Senior Creative Director at Codemasters, expressed excitement about the significant changes in the sport, stating, “With sweeping regulation changes and new teams and rivalries redefining the grid, players can experience the most significant evolution of the sport in over a decade.” He also hinted at the opportunity to race on the MADRING circuit before the actual race, offering players a unique experience.

Despite the extensive updates and overhauled car regulations, the F1 25: 2026 Season Pack DLC will be available at a lower price point for existing fans. The DLC will be priced at $29.99 | €29.99 | £24.99 on console and $24.99 | €24.99 | £21.99 on PC. Newcomers can opt for the F1 25: 2026 Season Edition at $49.99 | €59.99 | £49.99 on console and $49.99 | €49.99 | £44.99 on PC.
