Finnish SpaceTech Company ICEYE Secures €300 Million Credit Facility

ICEYE, a leading Finnish SpaceTech company, has recently announced the acquisition of a €300 million 3-year committed revolving credit facility (RCF). This funding is intended to support the issuance of guarantees for customer contracts, facilitate continued business growth, and serve as a liquidity backstop for the organization.

The RCF has been secured through a syndicate of seven banks, including Nordic, regional, and global banking partners. These banking relationships align strategically with ICEYE’s plans for global expansion into new key markets. Notably, Citi and Danske Bank have acted as Joint Global Coordinators and Mandated Lead Arrangers in this financing arrangement.

John Lauria, Global Head of Treasury at ICEYE, expressed his confidence in the company’s trajectory, stating, “2025 was a defining year for ICEYE as we scaled revenue, profitability, and cash generation simultaneously.” The RCF reflects continued trust in ICEYE’s business model and underscores its ability to access diverse capital sources to support rapid global growth.

Established in 2015, ICEYE specializes in delivering persistent monitoring capabilities for detecting and responding to changes on Earth. With the world’s largest and most advanced SAR satellite constellation, ICEYE offers high-quality intelligence with low latency and quick revisit times, irrespective of weather conditions or time of day.

ICEYE’s services cater to a range of sectors, including defense and intelligence, environmental monitoring, insurance, and emergency management. The company recently handed over Poland’s sovereign radar satellite reconnaissance system, MikroSAR, to the Polish Armed Forces, demonstrating its commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions to its clients.

In a significant milestone, ICEYE successfully launched and deployed six new 25 cm resolution SAR satellites into orbit in March 2026. This achievement further solidifies ICEYE’s position as a leader in space technology and intelligence solutions.

Noteworthy collaborations include a contract with the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration to deliver sovereign SAR systems for the Swedish Armed Forces, as well as a €1.7 billion space-based reconnaissance contract with Rheinmetall. ICEYE’s joint venture with Rheinmetall, Rheinmetall ICEYE Space Solutions GmbH, aims to provide exclusive access to a synthetic aperture radar satellite constellation for the German Armed Forces.

Looking ahead, ICEYE anticipates continued growth in 2026 following a strong financial and operational performance in 2025, during which the company doubled in size. With a global presence spanning multiple countries and over 1,000 employees, ICEYE remains at the forefront of innovation in the space technology sector.
