Jon Prosser Shifts Blame in Apple Lawsuit Drama
YouTuber Jon Prosser Responds to Apple’s Lawsuit Over Alleged iOS Secrets Theft
In a formal response to Apple’s lawsuit, YouTuber Jon Prosser denied any involvement in a conspiracy to harm Apple. However, he admitted to recording a FaceTime call showing unreleased iOS software and sharing revenue from YouTube videos about the leaks. Prosser placed responsibility for the alleged trade secret disclosure on the other defendant.
Last July, Apple accused Prosser and Michael Ramacciotti of stealing trade secrets through a coordinated scheme. Prosser showcased unannounced iOS features on his YouTube channel, allegedly sourced from a FaceTime call with Ramacciotti. Apple claimed that the leaked information resembled elements of their future iOS versions.
Apple declined to comment on the ongoing litigation. When questioned about the case, an Apple spokesperson refrained from providing details, citing the company’s policy on active legal matters.
Following a default entry due to Prosser’s initial lack of response, he later engaged legal representation and agreed to participate in the case. Both Prosser and Apple jointly requested the court to set aside the default entry, allowing Prosser to formally address Apple’s allegations within a specified timeframe.
