Backoffice Secures €150k Investment to Expand Operations Management Solution for Hospitality Industry
A Vilnius-based startup, Backoffice, has successfully secured €150k in investment to fuel the expansion of its operations management solution for restaurants, cafes, and hotels across Europe. The investment comes from venture capital funds FIRSTPICK and Lost Astronaut, propelling the startup’s growth in the hospitality sector.
Founded in 2025 by Erikas Pakėnas and Denis Stech, Backoffice aims to revolutionize the day-to-day operations of businesses in the hospitality and food service industry. The platform, designed to streamline tasks ranging from shift changes to payroll and internal communication, is a game-changer for industry professionals.
With a vision to simplify operational workflows, Backoffice allows employees to efficiently manage tasks such as shift swapping, work hour logging, and earnings tracking. The platform seeks to replace traditional methods like Excel spreadsheets with a centralized system, enhancing productivity and organization.
Backoffice’s comprehensive platform handles various aspects of business operations, including scheduling, time tracking, compliance, training, procurement, and performance analytics. The company charges per location, offering support for multi-location and multi-business structures to provide owners with a holistic view of their operations.
Emphasizing data security and compliance with Lithuanian labor laws, Backoffice ensures that all information is stored in the EU, encrypted, and GDPR-compliant. The platform caters to a wide range of establishments in Lithuania, with over 40 locations currently utilizing its services, including renowned venues like Džiaugsmas, Pleassurie, and Tempo.
Partnering with FIRSTPICK, Marijus Andrijauskas commended Backoffice’s rapid progress and potential to become a foundational infrastructure for the hospitality sector. By consolidating various operational systems into one user-friendly platform, Backoffice aims to streamline processes and drive efficiency in the industry.
With approximately 500 users registered on the system, Backoffice continues to make strides in transforming how businesses in the hospitality sector manage their operations. The platform’s commitment to innovation and customer-centric solutions positions it as a key player in the industry’s digital transformation journey.
