Exciting Details Revealed for Attack on Titan 3
Developer Omega Force and publisher Koei Tecmo have recently unveiled new information about the highly-anticipated Attack on Titan 3 game. Set to release this winter on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC, the game is sure to delight fans of the anime series.
The game will closely follow the storyline of the anime, placing players in the shoes of the Survey Corps members. Players will have the opportunity to create their own character and join forces with established characters to engage in epic battles featured in the series. Each character will possess unique abilities, requiring players to strategically assemble a squad with a diverse set of skills for each mission.
One of the exciting new features in Attack on Titan 3 is the addition of Exterior Scouting Missions. These missions will take players beyond the confines of the city walls, allowing them to establish bases, combat Titans, and expand the territory of humanity. Resource management will play a crucial role, as players must carefully balance the risks of venturing into uncharted territory with the potential loss of their comrades.
While the game maintains the iconic omni-directional movement, a new casual mode has been introduced to cater to players who prefer a more relaxed gaming experience without the need to master complex combat maneuvers.
Notably, the opening animation for Attack on Titan 3 will be created by MAPPA, the renowned animation studio behind Attack on Titan: The Final Season. The animation will be overseen by Arifumi Imai, known for his exceptional work as an action scene animator, storyboard artist, and key animator. Surprisingly, the animation will be added to the game post-launch, adding an element of anticipation for players.
Attack on Titan 2, released in 2018, received high praise with an impressive 8/10 rating. Our reviewer, Miguel, commended Omega Force for delivering a fresh and innovative gameplay experience within the Attack on Titan universe. While some elements of the Warriors formula remained, they complemented the unique core gameplay. Miguel expressed a desire for greater character involvement in the story but appreciated the interactions with the cast between missions. Attack on Titan 2 stood out as one of the best anime video games for its distinctive gameplay experience.
