Onimusha: Way of the Sword Arrives Early – Launch Date Moved to 4th September
Capcom Moves Up Release Date for Onimusha: Way of the Sword
Capcom has made an exciting announcement regarding the highly anticipated release of Onimusha: Way of the Sword. Originally set for a later date, the game will now hit shelves three weeks earlier on September 4th.
The decision to advance the release date comes after the game was initially slated to launch during a crowded week of game releases at the end of the month, strategically avoiding the release of GTA 6. By moving the launch to the beginning of September, Capcom aims to provide the game with more breathing room. However, it will now face competition from titles like The Blood of Dawnwalker, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, and Marvel’s Wolverine within a short timeframe.
Gamers eager to get a taste of Onimusha: Way of the Sword can still access the demo on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Playing the demo will reward players with a Kubi Akari charm in the full game, provided that save data is present. Additionally, those who purchase the game before September 24th will receive an exclusive Early Adopter Bonus.
