Neko Health Raises $700 Million in Series C Funding

Neko Health, a pioneering startup in body-scanning and health assessment, co-founded by Daniel Ek, the mastermind behind Spotify, and Hjalmar Nilsonne, has successfully secured a monumental $700 million in Series C funding.

The latest funding round was spearheaded by Lightspeed Venture Partners and O.G. Venture Partners, following the company’s impressive $260 million Series B funding round in January 2025.

Neko Health has revolutionized health assessment with its cutting-edge body-scanning technology, complemented by comprehensive bloodwork analysis. The platform now offers body composition insights for fitness enthusiasts and seamlessly integrates Apple Health data to empower its medical professionals with real-world insights for accurate assessments.

With established locations in the U.K. and Sweden, Neko Health is gearing up for its inaugural U.S. branch in New York. The company boasts a significant user base, with over 100,000 individuals having undergone scans and an additional 350,000 individuals either on the waiting list or with appointments scheduled.

A notable advocate of Neko Health’s services is Alex Tew, the founder of Calm, who credited the platform for detecting a potentially harmful mole on his back, prompting timely medical intervention. Tew expressed gratitude towards Neko Health for the life-saving discovery.

Beyond Neko Health, the tech industry is witnessing a surge in health scanning initiatives. Midjourney, renowned for its AI innovations, is developing a body scanner set to enhance spa experiences with hot tubs and saunas, slated to debut in San Francisco by 2027.

Joining forces with Lightspeed Venture Partners and O.G. Venture Partners in the recent funding round are prominent investors including Atomico, General Catalyst, Lakestar, Liberty City Ventures, Positive Sum, and BDT & MSD, highlighting the industry’s collective support for Neko Health’s groundbreaking advancements.
