Steph Curry Edition Pixel Watch 5 Leaks: Google Takes Shots at Rivals

The latest release in wearable technology builds upon the success of the Steph Curry Special Edition Fitbit Air. Earlier this year, NBA star Steph Curry collaborated with Google to introduce the screenless tracker as the official Performance Advisor.

Similar to the budget-friendly fitness tracker, the Special Edition of the Pixel Watch 5 focuses on the band design, while the smartwatch itself remains unchanged. The band, created in collaboration with 4-time NBA champion Stephen Curry, boasts a water-repellent coating designed to withstand intense workouts.

Featuring the signature orange and grey/beige color scheme of the Fitbit Air version, the Pixel Watch 5 Special Edition bears Curry’s name and the hashtag #LockedIn on the strap. The water-repellent properties of the band are also retained in this version.

However, Google’s disclaimer notes that the water resistance of the Pixel Watch 5 is not permanent and may diminish over time due to regular use and environmental exposure, similar to the Fitbit Air.

According to leaks, the Steph Curry Special Edition strap for the Pixel Watch 5 is exclusively available for the larger 45mm LTE model, potentially limiting options for individuals with smaller wrists.
