Rumors surrounding Nvidia’s announcement of the Arm-based RTX Spark chips over the summer highlighted two specific chips: the N1X and N1. While the N1 won’t make its debut this year, Nvidia confirms that the N1X chip will be available in RTX Spark laptops in two different configurations starting in October.

The RTX Spark N1X laptop will offer a mini PC chip configuration. The top-tier N1X chip boasts a 6144-core Blackwell RTX GPU, a 20-core Grace CPU, and a unified memory capacity ranging from 24GB to 128GB. This powerful chip will be featured in high-end laptops and compact PCs like Microsoft’s Surface RTX Spark Dev Box.

The scaled-down version of the N1X, referred to as the laptop chip, includes a 5120-core Blackwell RTX GPU, an 18-core Grace CPU, and a unified memory capacity between 24GB and 32GB. Most RTX Spark N1X laptops are expected to utilize this chip, with leading manufacturers such as Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, and MSI set to launch devices in October.

Nvidia is yet to disclose the full capabilities of the N1X for laptop gaming, but the company hints at achieving 100fps in 1440p gaming with ray-tracing and DLSS enabled. With RTX Spark laptops just a month away, details on availability and pricing from PC manufacturers are eagerly awaited. Given the ongoing RAMageddon crisis, it is anticipated that N1X laptops will be positioned at the premium end of the market.
