Exclusive Treatment for VIPs

The VIPs widget now offers quick access to your preferred contacts directly from the home screen.

With the September Pixel Drop, Google is revamping the widget, allowing for easier calling or texting with a single tap. Users can now swipe between VIP contacts and view notification badges within the widget.

Beware of Online Scams

As online scams gain popularity, Google is taking action. Scam Detection, previously available only in the US, is now expanding to nine new countries, including the UK. Additionally, similar functionality is being integrated into Gboard.

When responding to a suspected scam, users will now see a warning above the keyboard. Tapping on the alert will provide further information.

While this feature is currently exclusive to the US, it is hoped that it will be available in more regions soon.
