The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered PC System Requirements Revealed

CD Projekt has unveiled the complete list of PC system requirements for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered, a complimentary upgrade for the base version of the beloved fantasy RPG. This includes both the previously disclosed minimum specifications and the recommended, ultra, ray-tracing minimum, ray-tracing recommended, and path tracing setups.

The Remastered edition is set to launch on Tuesday, September 29th, offering players the chance to enhance their gaming experience with updated graphics. To fully enjoy the revamped visuals, players may need to invest in a high-performance PC that meets or exceeds the specified requirements.

The system requirements table provided by CD Projekt offers detailed insights into the hardware needed to run the game smoothly. It’s worth noting that occasional frame rate fluctuations may occur depending on in-game scenarios.

In addition to the hardware specifications, CD Projekt has highlighted the new SSD requirement and the discontinuation of support for Windows 10. While the game will still be playable on Windows 10 after the update, future compatibility and performance cannot be guaranteed.

During a recent preview of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered and the upcoming Songs of the Past expansion at Gamescom, reviewers praised the improved combat animations and visual enhancements. The development team has also made various adjustments to enemy AI, ledge climbing mechanics, and introduced a Photo mode.

Despite the positive reception, some returning players have expressed concerns about the visual changes in the remastered version. CD Projekt acknowledges this feedback and offers the option to revert to earlier versions of the game for those who prefer the original experience.

Looking ahead, the Songs of the Past expansion is scheduled for release in 2027, setting the stage for The Witcher 4 in 2028. While some fans are excited about the future of the series, others feel that The Witcher 3 already had a perfect conclusion in the Blood and Wine expansion.
