October 2026’s PlayStation Plus Monthly Games have been unveiled, taking players on a nostalgic journey back to the years 2025, 1896, and a time when pixellated aliens invaded the earth.

Discovering the PS Plus October 2026 Monthly Games

This month features three exciting games, with one still available for PS4. Check out the PlayStation Store links below to get your hands on them.

F1 25 remains the latest Formula 1 game by Codemasters, opting for a major DLC pack for the 2026 season instead of releasing a new game. While this DLC is not included, F1 25 offers a fantastic racing experience. According to Dom, “F1 25 showcases significant improvements over its predecessor, with enhanced handling, the reintroduction of the Braking Point story mode, and more, culminating in an outstanding F1 racing experience.”

Earth Defense Force World Brothers 2 offers a more kid-friendly approach compared to the main series, featuring chunky voxel art. Jason noted, “It’s inherently whimsical, with a cute art style that lowers the difficulty level. It’s a great option for younger gamers, evident in the simple controls and forgiving combat mechanics. While lacking complexity, it still provides an enjoyable experience.”

Lastly, the updated extraction shooter Hunt: Showdown 1896 received mixed reviews from Gamoc. Despite an intriguing concept, he mentioned, “In practice, it’s often deserted, with players either constantly sprinting or camping. While it may appeal to those seeking a challenge, it’s not recommended for casual gamers.” Nonetheless, it’s worth a try as a complimentary game.
