The Rise of Snabbit: Revolutionizing On-Demand Home Help Services in India

India’s demand for instant convenience has taken a new turn as Snabbit, an on-demand home-help startup, secures $30 million in funding, elevating its valuation to $180 million. This significant growth from $80 million just five months ago showcases the expanding market for quick and efficient household services beyond food and grocery delivery.

In its third fundraise in nine months, Snabbit’s all-equity Series C round was led by Bertelsmann India Investments, with continued support from Lightspeed, Elevation Capital, and Nexus Venture Partners. With this latest infusion, the startup has now raised a total of $55 million.

Snabbit’s recent funding surge aligns with its rapid expansion, scaling from 1,000 daily jobs in May to over 10,000 daily bookings, surpassing 300,000 total orders by October. Founded in 2024, the Bengaluru-based startup offers a diverse range of on-demand home services tailored for urban households, including cleaning, dishwashing, laundry, and kitchen prep, powered by a women-led fleet of 5,000 skilled professionals.

Operating through a hyperlocal network, Snabbit ensures swift service within 10 minutes, catering to 40 micro markets across Mumbai, Bengaluru, Gurugram, Noida, and Pune. The company plans to further expand its footprint in these cities and soon venture into Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi, and Calcutta.

With a customer base exceeding 300,000 and a projected addition of 100,000 more users in the near future, Snabbit predominantly serves individuals aged between 30 and 40, including bachelors and working professionals seeking efficient ad hoc solutions for their household needs.

One of Snabbit’s key differentiators is its focus on efficiency and depth in service delivery, rather than sheer breadth. This strategic approach has enabled Snabbit to lead in more micro markets compared to competitors like Urban Company, which pioneered the on-demand home services trend in India.

Snabbit’s success is further underscored by its impressive customer retention rate of 30–35% and a projected annual recurring revenue of $11 million, achieved with a customer acquisition cost of less than ₹500 (approximately $6). The startup’s services are competitively priced at around ₹150 (about $2) per hour, with an average ticket size of ₹240 (roughly $3).

Empowering its workforce, Snabbit ensures fair earnings for its workers, ranging between ₹25,000–₹30,000 (approximately $284–$340) per month, with reduced commute times between jobs for enhanced efficiency.

Looking ahead, Snabbit aims to strengthen its market presence and diversify into high-frequency services such as cooking, child care, and elderly care, leveraging its recent funding to drive innovation and growth in the on-demand home help sector in India.
