Google to Host Made by Google Hardware Launch Event with Trevor Noah as Host

Google has announced that its upcoming live Made by Google hardware launch event is scheduled for August 12th. The company has revealed in a new video that the event will be hosted by comedian Trevor Noah.

The video teaser for the event also hints at the presence of other celebrities and influencers, such as Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper, Indian cricketer Shubman Gill, Japanese actress Ayami Nakajo, and NBA star Stephen Curry, who is also a Google Performance Advisor. Both Cooper and Noah are bringing their shows to YouTube, adding to the star-studded lineup.

Last year’s event was hosted by Jimmy Fallon, resembling more of a live taping of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon than a typical tech launch. This year, Google seems to be targeting a broader audience with the inclusion of well-known faces. The event is set to begin at 6PM ET in New York City, coinciding with the end of the workday.

In terms of the new gadgets expected to be unveiled, Google’s teaser video offers glimpses of a new phone and smartwatch. Leaked images and specs suggest the release of the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Consumers should be prepared for potentially higher price points with the latest offerings from Google.
