Align Technology Unveils ClinCheck Live Plan for Invisalign Treatment Planning

Align Technology, a renowned medical device company known for its innovative products such as the Invisalign system of clear aligners, exocad CAD/CAM software, and iTero intra-oral scanners, has introduced a groundbreaking feature in its Invisalign digital dental treatment planning – ClinCheck Live Plan.

ClinCheck Live Plan is a revolutionary tool designed to streamline the creation of initial Invisalign treatment plans, significantly reducing planning cycles from days to just 15 minutes. The primary objective is to expedite the treatment process for patients, ensuring they receive the care they need in a timely manner.

This latest offering from Align Technology is part of a series of advanced treatment planning tools and automation features introduced in recent years. These include the cloud-based ClinCheck Pro 6.0 software, automated Invisalign Personalised Plan templates, and the simplified one-page Flex Rx prescription form, all aimed at enhancing consistency, dentist control, and efficiency.

Utilizing Align’s extensive data and algorithms, ClinCheck Live Plan has been in development for years, incorporating valuable insights from dentists and orthodontists who have treated over 21 million Invisalign patients worldwide.

Dentists now have the capability to create and customize treatment plans swiftly. Upon submission of an eligible case using the Flex Rx system, practitioners can receive a personalized ClinCheck treatment plan in just 15 minutes.

Invisalign specialists can now review and adjust their patients’ treatment plans in real-time, improving the overall service quality. By submitting a new case with an iTero intra-oral scan and a completed Flex Rx prescription, the ClinCheck Live Plan system generates a detailed 3D plan. This accelerated process is expected to optimize clinic operations and enhance patient experiences.

Qualified Invisalign-trained specialists currently using the ClinCheck preferences template and Flex Rx form will gain access to ClinCheck Live Plan upon its availability in their respective regions. The global rollout of this innovative feature is scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2026.
