Embrace the Shadows: Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Update 1.0.4 Now Available, Roadmap Unveiled
The Chinese Room has recently released patch 1.0.4 for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, aiming to enhance the overall gaming experience. This latest update addresses the Save on Exit to Main Menu or Quit Game issue, ensuring that progress is properly saved. Looking ahead, patch 1.0.5 is set to introduce a FOV slider, motion blur toggle, and improved progress saving. Furthermore, The Chinese Room has unveiled a roadmap outlining upcoming content releases through 2026.
The roadmap reveals that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will receive three updates leading up to Christmas, starting with the recent 1.0.4 patch. The Winter update is expected to introduce custom difficulty settings and Christmas-themed items. Players can adjust various parameters like starting health, masquerade sensitivity, and enemy awareness after completing the game. Subsequent updates include the Valentine’s update in Q1 2026, followed by two DLC releases: Loose Cannon in Q2 2026 and The Flower & The Flame in Q3 2026.

- The issue where the game failed to save progress on Exit to Main Menu or Quit Game has been resolved. This bug, which could lead to the loss of hours of progress in the hub area, will now update the Autosave upon exiting the game.
- Fixed an instance where an enemy clipped out of bounds during the Tree Room combat in A KISS FROM PROSPERO, preventing players from defeating it.
- Resolved a situation where the character became stuck inside the elevator with Mystic mark during “Meet with Prince Ryong on the 21st floor” quest.
- Fixed the issue of Hub NPCs disappearing after triggering the objective “Identify wealthy Melancholic Victims for Nix,” halting further progression.
- Addressed a bug where savegames incorrectly redirected to the game directory when running with admin privileges, bypassing Steam Cloud Sync.
- Fixed the problem where the Door of the toilet couldn’t be pulled using Telekinesis, where Verona was hiding.
- Resolved an issue where conversation failed to start when spamming spirits touch on a letter during the Blood Sisters quest, blocking progression.
- Fixed instances where enemies appeared stuck in various environmental objects during combat outside the plastic factory.
- Resolved an interaction prompt issue with Lou’s penthouse door failing to trigger when returning to her after marking Sanguine NPCs, hindering progression.
- Addressed scenarios where the character fell out of the world while navigating specific areas in the game.
- Fixed various collision and texture issues affecting gameplay immersion.
