Watching ITVX Overseas: A Guide for International Viewers
If you’re looking to stream content from ITV channels like ITV1, ITV2, and ITVBe, you’ll need an account with ITVX, formerly known as the ITV Hub. This service allows you to watch live or on-demand content, making it the ideal platform for popular shows like I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, gripping detective dramas, family favorite films, and reality hits like Love Island.
However, there’s a major drawback – ITVX is only accessible in the UK. This means if you’re outside the UK or traveling abroad, you won’t be able to access ITVX. The good news is, there’s a solution that allows you to watch ITVX from anywhere, whether you’re using a PC, Mac, TV, iPhone, or Android device.
Watch ITVX Abroad with a VPN
To watch ITVX outside the UK, the best approach is to use a VPN (virtual private network). A VPN enables you to browse the internet as if you were located in another country, tricking the ITVX website or app into thinking you’re in the UK even when you’re not.
While there are numerous VPN options available, NordVPN and SurfShark are highly recommended for their speed, reliability, and user-friendly interfaces. Once you’ve subscribed to a VPN and installed it on your device, follow these steps:

Open your VPN on your device and select a server located in the UK.
Launch ITVX

Visit the ITVX website or app on the same device – it should recognize you as being in the UK.
If you encounter issues, try switching to a different UK server on your VPN as streaming platforms like ITVX may block known VPN IP addresses. You may need to experiment with various servers until you find one that works. Additionally, if you have an ad blocker enabled, ITVX might detect it – some VPNs include ad-blocking features, so you may need to disable that function.

If you haven’t already, create an ITVX account to start watching. You’ll need to provide a valid email address, date of birth, and a UK postcode. Once registered, you can sign in as usual.
