HP Unveils New OmniBook Lineup with AI-Focused Ultra Model

HP has recently announced a refreshed range of OmniBook productivity laptops at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), with the spotlight on its latest flagship model, the OmniBook Ultra 14. While details on pricing and availability are still pending, HP is gearing up to launch the OmniBook Ultra 14 with upgraded features, such as Intel’s Panther Lake and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 series processors, designed to enhance performance for AI-related tasks.

Enhanced Performance with Next-Gen Processors

The new Snapdragon X2 Elite X2E-90-100, boasting an 18-core processor and a neural processing unit rated at 85 trillion operations per second (TOPS), sets a new benchmark for AI performance in the OmniBook lineup. The transition from AMD Ryzen AI 300-series CPUs to Intel and Qualcomm processors promises a significant boost in processing power, with the Snapdragon X2 model surpassing its predecessor in terms of TOPS delivered.

Expanded Configuration Options

The OmniBook Ultra 14 now supports up to 64GB of RAM and a maximum storage capacity of 2TB SSD, a notable upgrade from its previous specifications. Both Intel and Snapdragon variants will utilize integrated graphics, accompanied by the innovative OmniBook “compact vapor chamber” cooling system to prevent overheating during intensive AI tasks.

Design and Display Enhancements

Weighing in at 2.8 pounds, the OmniBook Ultra 14 is lighter and slimmer than its predecessor, featuring a higher resolution OLED display and a haptic touchpad for enhanced user experience. The laptop’s battery life has also seen an improvement, offering up to 20 hours of usage on a single charge, with certain Qualcomm configurations extending this to 30 hours.
