Keychron Introduces New Mechanical Keyboards and Trackball at CES

Keychron made waves at CES with the announcement of their latest mechanical keyboards boasting marathon battery life. However, it was the introduction of the Nape Pro trackball that truly stole the spotlight. This innovative device marks Keychron’s debut into the world of trackballs, offering a sleek design that allows for versatile placement on your desk.

The Nape Pro’s design bears resemblance to the Lenovo TrackPoint, a feature commonly found on ThinkPad laptops and some standalone keyboards. Its strategic positioning enables users to control the cursor, manipulate the rotary dial, or utilize any of its six programmable buttons seamlessly, all without having to adjust hand positioning.

According to Keychron co-founder Paul Tan in an interview with The Verge, the Nape Pro is set to launch in Japan through crowdfunding soon, with a planned release in the US by spring at a price range of $60 to $100, factoring in tariffs.

Anticipation is high for the Nape Pro’s arrival in the market. Its versatility opens up possibilities for users to place it under or beside their keyboard while still using a traditional mouse, offering a range of options for enhanced productivity and convenience.
