Continuing Changes: Apple’s Ongoing Executive Reshuffle
Apple Leadership Changes: What You Need to Know
Apple recently made significant changes to its leadership team, with notable shifts in key positions. Former COO Jeff Williams, who previously spearheaded Apple’s health initiatives, handed over his role to Sabih Khan, the company’s former vice president of operations, in July. Williams is set to depart at the end of this year, prompting the redistribution of his remaining responsibilities within the organization.
As part of the restructuring, Apple software chief Craig Federighi will now oversee watchOS, while hardware leader John Ternus will take charge of Apple Watch hardware engineering, as reported by Bloomberg.
Additionally, Apple has made changes to other key roles within the company. According to Bloomberg, Apple fitness chief Jay Blahnik will now report to health VP Sumbul Desai following an internal investigation into his conduct. Both Blahnik and Desai previously reported to Jeff Williams. Notably, a former employee recently filed a lawsuit against Blahnik, alleging the creation of a toxic work environment, as reported by The New York Times in August.
