Exciting news for gaming enthusiasts as Sega has recently announced the release of a free demo for Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties, set to launch this week. The demo is now available on PC, with releases scheduled for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2 tomorrow. The full game is slated for release on 12th February, just a few weeks away.
For those eager to get a taste of the action, the demo is live on Steam starting at 3PM GMT today, 21st January. Console players will need to wait until 5AM GMT on 22nd January to access the demo on their respective platforms.
This free demo offers a glimpse into the world of both Yakuza Kiwami 3 and Dark Ties, providing a sneak peek into the gameplay experiences that await players:
- Yakuza Kiwami 3 invites players to explore the vibrant Ryukyu, Okinawa as Kazuma Kiryu. Players can switch between Kiryu’s powerful Dragon of Dojima: Kiwami style and the weapon-based Ryukyu style while engaging in various side activities such as karaoke, sub-stories, and outfit customization.
- In Dark Ties, players delve into a new storyline featuring Yoshitaka Mine in Kamurocho. Alongside immersive side experiences, players can engage in Mine’s unique shoot-boxing combat to take down enemies in style.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 is a reimagined version of the third installment in the beloved crime drama series, offering updated graphics and new features while staying true to the original PS3 game. As Kiryu embarks on a mission to save Okinawa’s Morning Glory Orphanage from threats, players can experience the newly introduced Bad Boy Dragon mode unveiled in December.
What exactly is Bad Boy Dragon? In this mode, Kiryu leads the Haisai Girls gang to dominance, recruiting allies and training them to take on rival gangs in turf wars and battles. Players can also engage in motorcycle raids on enemy bases, offering a plethora of customization options for an immersive experience.
Dark Ties introduces players to Yoshitaka Mine’s journey to elevate his status within the criminal underworld. This unique side-story complements the main Yakuza 3 narrative, with the addition of the Hell’s Arena underground fight club. Players can participate in 1v1 Hellish Brawls and thrilling races to evade pursuers in a treasure-filled dungeon in Survival Hell.
