Mark your calendars for August 11th, as Replicant D6 has officially announced the release date on Steam after over five years of development. The solo developer expressed their excitement, stating, “After a grueling 5 and a half years of work, I can finally put a final release date down. Everything is almost ready and set. Let’s make it worth it!”

Spies Never Die has been in the works for quite some time, with a demo available on Steam for eager players. The gameplay features a unique shooting mechanic where players can switch between auto-aim and specific aiming modes, adding a layer of strategy to the action-packed missions.

In the full game, players will embark on 14 missions as spy John Walter, tasked with stopping the nefarious Dominic Pulp from taking over the world. The missions involve hacking terminals, rescuing hostages, and engaging in intense shootouts across various environments. Players can tackle the main story solo or team up with friends for split-screen or online co-op.

For those looking for added challenges, the game offers a “paradox mode” unlocked through completing missions under certain conditions. This mode introduces cheats and modifiers like big heads and unique gameplay twists, adding replay value to the experience. Additionally, players can test their skills in arena mode, engaging in multiplayer battles with up to 8 players and bots.

If the allure of retro spy action has captured your interest, be sure to wishlist Agent 64: Spies Never Die on Steam for updates leading up to the August 11th release date.
