Bosch and Siemens Energy partner Almetra raises €16 million Series A for manufacturing intelligence platform

Berlin-based manufacturing intelligence company Almetra, formerly known as Deltia, has secured a €16 million ($19 million) Series A funding round to expedite product development, expand internationally into the US, and enhance its platform to serve as a comprehensive intelligence and automation layer for the shopfloor.

The funding round was spearheaded by transatlantic investor Blisce, headquartered in New York and Paris, with contributions from NAP, Merantix, Robin Capital, Underline Ventures, and Critical Ventures.

Maximilian Fischer, co-founder & CEO of Almetra, emphasized the importance of providing certainty to plant teams rather than relying on guesswork. He highlighted the significant optimization opportunities that Almetra’s customers have discovered within the first few weeks of using the platform.

In the broader context of 2026 funding trends in industrial AI, manufacturing data infrastructure, physical AI, and robotics, Almetra’s Series A funding aligns with a landscape of active investment in these areas.

German companies like United Manufacturing Hub, SPREAD AI, Sereact, and NEURA Robotics have also secured substantial funding rounds for various aspects of industrial technology. Additionally, international companies like Trener Robotics, Isembard, Scope, and THEKER have received funding for their contributions to industrial automation and robotics.

Sam Giber, Partner at Blisce, commended Almetra for its measurable impact on leading industrial companies and expressed confidence in the team’s ability to shape the industry’s future.

Established in 2022 by Maximilian Fischer and Silviu Homoceanu, Almetra has grown to approximately 40 employees and serves clients such as Bosch, Siemens Energy, and Aumovio (formerly Continental).

Almetra’s platform utilizes AI-powered cameras to gather production data in real-time without the need for extensive IT integration. The company prioritizes worker privacy by anonymizing footage and limiting the transfer of video data outside the factory.

The proprietary AI models developed by Almetra are tailored to each customer’s specific processes, providing actionable insights for process engineers and factory managers to drive improvements.

The recent funding will support the advancement of automation, including the integration of robotics in select production environments. Almetra’s participation in programs like Google DeepMind’s Robotics Accelerator and partnerships with AWS, Nvidia, and MassRobotics underscore its commitment to innovation in the field of industrial automation.

Overall, Almetra’s funding announcement reflects the ongoing investment in data, AI, and automation technologies within industrial operations, with Germany playing a prominent role in these developments.
