Apple’s New Smart Home Devices

Insiders at Bloomberg have revealed that Apple’s upcoming line of devices will include a deadbolt lock, outdoor security camera, and floodlight camera. These new additions to Apple’s smart home ecosystem are set to revolutionize the way users interact with their homes.

According to reports, some of these devices will support the smart home protocols Thread and Matter, marking a significant step forward for Apple’s HomeKit platform. The door lock, in particular, will feature an ultra-wideband capability that could automatically unlock when a user approaches their door, providing a seamless and convenient user experience.

Rumors have been circulating for months about Apple’s plans to expand its presence in the smart home market. Reports from Bloomberg suggest that Apple is developing a Siri AI-enabled smart home hub with a six-inch display that can be wall-mounted or placed on a table. This upcoming device is expected to be unveiled later this month, alongside a new HomePod mini and an upgraded Apple TV device, showcasing Apple’s commitment to innovation in the smart home space.
