Rolls-Royce Unveils Exclusive Customer Commissions at Monterey Car Week

Rolls-Royce made a unique move during Monterey Car Week 2026 by hosting clients at a private villa overlooking the Pacific Ocean instead of showcasing their vehicles on a public stand. This year, the luxury automaker presented two special customer commissions, highlighting the lengths their Bespoke division will go for the right client.

A Private and Exclusive Experience

The Villa served as the focal point of Rolls-Royce’s Monterey program, offering clients direct access to designers, Bespoke specialists, and company leadership. This exclusive setting allowed for personalized events, design consultations, and the handover of the two bespoke vehicles to their North American buyers.

Nick Keen, President and CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars North America, emphasized that the week was a showcase of the capabilities of the Bespoke division when given the budget and time to create truly unique pieces.

The Black Badge Cullinan Series II Collaboration

The first commission featured a Black Badge Cullinan Series II, a collaboration with French artist Cyril Kongo. Known for his work in graffiti art, Kongo hand-painted the exterior of the SUV, turning it into a dynamic art piece. The interior of the vehicle also received custom treatments, showcasing the creativity of Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke Collective.

The Black Badge Ghost “Golden Era” Tribute

The second commission, a Black Badge Ghost named “Golden Era,” paid tribute to the V12 engine. Finished in Gold Crystal over black, the vehicle featured gold-infused paint, hand-painted details, and embroidered artwork throughout the interior. This unique Ghost highlighted the legacy of the V12 engine in Rolls-Royce’s history.

Both one-of-a-kind vehicles showcased the pinnacle of Bespoke customization, featuring unique design elements, luxurious finishes, and personalized touches that catered to the individual tastes of the clients. These commissions signaled a shift towards commissioned art pieces rather than traditional customization options, reflecting Rolls-Royce’s commitment to delivering exclusive and extraordinary vehicles.

While these bespoke cars are not available for public purchase, they represent the direction Rolls-Royce is taking with its Bespoke division: creating personalized masterpieces for discerning clients in private, exclusive settings.
