Team17 has recently unveiled their plans for The Escapists 3, set to launch in 2027 across various platforms including PC, Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. One of the most striking changes in this upcoming installment is the shift to 3D graphics, promising to deliver a fresh and immersive experience for players.

Despite the visual overhaul, The Escapists 3 aims to retain the beloved elements of its predecessors. Players can expect five distinct prisons to navigate, over 120 new weapons to acquire and craft, and the familiar gameplay mechanics of adhering to routines, studying guard patterns, and exploiting various systems to orchestrate daring escapes.

Unlike previous titles, The Escapists 3 offers a multitude of solutions for each prison, empowering players to customize their inmate, enhance their skills through earned XP, and devise unique escape strategies. From cutting through fences to hang-gliding off rooftops, the game introduces a range of exhilarating methods to break free.

Furthermore, The Escapists 3 will support two-player local split-screen and up to four players online, enhancing the cooperative gameplay experience.
