We Know When to Expect Apple’s Highly Anticipated iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Ultra Launch Event

Apple enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the launch of the latest iPhone models. Based on previous years, it is highly likely that the event will take place on 9 September, with a weekday launch expected around that date this year. However, not all iPhone models will be making their debut at this event. The focus will be on the high-end phones, including the iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Ultra, and the much-anticipated new foldable device.

While the launch event is expected to showcase the high-end models, it is possible that the foldable device may not be available for pre-order at the same time as the Pro models. Typically, pre-orders for the Pro models begin a week later.

Details about the foldable phone have surfaced through leaked CAD renders and images of dummy models used by iPhone case makers. The foldable device is said to have a book-style design with a unique passport-shaped format that unfolds into a display similar to an iPad mini.

Apple’s plans for the foldable device were widely known, prompting Samsung to unveil its own wide foldable device ahead of Apple. The Galaxy Z Fold 8, with similar dimensions to Apple’s foldable, is already on the market. Apple’s foldable device is expected to come at a higher price point than Samsung’s model, which starts at £1,699/$1,899.99 for 256GB of storage.

The new foldable device from Apple is expected to feature an outer display ranging from 5.3 to 5.5 inches and an inner display around 7.7 inches. The device will have a distinctive camera plateau on the back, similar to the one seen on the iPhone Air, and will boast a 48Mp camera.

In addition to its design and specifications, details about the color options for the new iPhone are also available. The device is set to be offered in a silver and white colorway, as well as silver and indigo blue.
