CD Projekt Red Announces The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered

Exciting news for fans of The Witcher series as CD Projekt Red surprised everyone with the announcement of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered during Gamescom Opening Night Live. The remastered version of the game is set to be released on 29th September 2026, and the best part is – it’s going to be free for all owners of the original game.

But that’s not all. CD Projekt Red is also making the first two expansions to the game, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, free for all players. A generous move that is sure to delight fans of the game.

Even though the game was previously upgraded for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, CD Projekt Red is not stopping there. The remastered version will come with a host of improvements including upgraded visuals, enhanced combat, improved traversal and movement, new Witcher signs FX, enhanced monster behaviors, a skill tree revamp, transmogrification, enhanced mount handling, and an enhanced Photo Mode. These enhancements are sure to breathe new life into the beloved game.
