Robbie Williams-backed Tickets for Good raises €4.5 million for international expansion

Tickets for Good is a UK startup dedicated to providing low-cost tickets for live events to key workers. Recently, they secured a further €4.5 million (£3.9 million) in funding to fuel their international expansion and create 10 new jobs in Sheffield over the next three years.

The funding came from NPIF II – Mercia Equity Finance, managed by Mercia Ventures as part of the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II (NPIF II), in collaboration with Shaping Impact Group (SI3), Finance Yorkshire, Leansquare, and private investors.

The CEO and co-founder, Steve Rimmer, expressed his gratitude for the investment, highlighting the company’s mission to make live events accessible to everyone, especially those who contribute significantly to communities. He emphasized the positive impact they are creating and the potential for growth and job creation.

Tickets for Good’s financing aligns with the broader investment trend in technologies supporting live events and fan experiences in Europe. Other notable investments in the sector include Exhibitly, Microamp, AlphaLum, and Silverflow.

According to Investment Director Chris Borrett from Mercia Ventures, there is a growing demand for live experiences, but rising ticket prices pose barriers to access. Tickets for Good’s innovative solution aims to bridge this gap and enhance the overall fan experience.

Established in 2022, Tickets for Good redistributes surplus event tickets to key workers and individuals in need. The company focuses on inclusivity and maximizing venue capacity while benefiting both recipients and event organizers.

With nearly 750,000 verified members globally and over 1.25 million tickets distributed, Tickets for Good has made a significant impact. Notable ambassadors for the company include Robbie Williams, Edwin van der Sar, and Hans Brouwer.

Finance Yorkshire’s CEO, Alex McWhirter, commended Tickets for Good’s international success and supported their efforts to expand further. The company’s revenue growth and job creation in Yorkshire reflect its commitment to making live events accessible to all.
