2027 Zeekr 7X: Export-market facelift revealed, misses out on major Chinese update

An Overview of the 2027 Zeekr 7X Upgrades

The Paris motor show recently showcased the latest version of the 2027 Zeekr 7X, revealing significant upgrades. However, the European and Australian models will differ from the one offered in China.

One major difference is the electrical system. While the Chinese-market 7X transitioned to a 900V system in late 2026, the European models will retain an 800V system.

European customers can expect to see the updated mid-size electric SUV in the first quarter of 2027. Meanwhile, Zeekr in China will be launching a separate 7X update later this year, featuring a new 85kWh ‘Golden Brick’ battery pack.

Zeekr Australia is yet to confirm the introduction date for the next 7X update in the region.

The European-market 7X lineup will offer a choice between 75kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and 100kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) batteries. These batteries can be charged at impressive rates on both DC and AC power sources.

While the battery and charging capabilities remain unchanged, the range has been increased for the rear-wheel drive variants. Single-motor models now boast WLTP range figures of 482km and 627km for the 75kWh and 100kWh batteries, respectively.

Rear-wheel drive 7Xs have also received a power and torque boost, resulting in improved acceleration times.

The all-wheel drive powertrain now delivers 500kW and 790Nm, with slight improvements in range and acceleration.

The updated 7X features a new Bosch-based driver-assistance system with advanced parking assist capabilities.

Exterior updates include revised front and rear bumpers, along with a repositioned rear number plate.

Interior changes are minimal, focusing on a redesigned centre console for a sleeker look.

Popular exterior colors like Glacier Silver and Mystic Lilac will be introduced along with new 21-inch alloy wheels.

These enhancements have already garnered significant interest in the Australian market, with 10,800 7Xs delivered by Zeekr Australia this year.

The 7X continues to outsell other mid-size electric SUVs in its category, making it a top choice for electric vehicle enthusiasts.
