2027 BMW iX4: The Electric SUV Stealthily Makes its Debut on U.S. Website
Exciting News: BMW Accidentally Reveals 2027 iX4 Electric SUV
- BMW has mistakenly exposed the upcoming 2027 iX4 on its U.S. website, featuring two versions: 40 xDrive and 50 xDrive.
- Although the BMW iX4 has not been officially confirmed, its unveiling is expected to happen this year.
- Referred to as NA7, the initial BMW iX4 may be produced in Debrecen, Hungary, alongside the new iX3 model.
BMW appears to be dealing with a situation of panic as a mishap has revealed the names of the 2027 model year cars. Among the leaked information are details about the M2 xDrive and M350, along with an unexpected listing for the iX4 (NA7) model, which has not been officially announced yet.
The appearance of the iX4 40 xDrive and iX4 50 xDrive models has caught many by surprise. Spy shots have hinted at the return of the X4 after a brief absence, now transitioning to an all-electric platform for its third generation. It is anticipated that the iX4 will share mechanical similarities with the iX3 NA5, currently offered only as a 50 xDrive. However, BMW USA’s website has also revealed a 40 xDrive variant for the 2027 model year.
Furthermore, an electric X3 M has been spotted by photographers, although it is not slated for release in 2027. The ZA5 model is set to launch later in the year, alongside the M3 ZA0. This suggests that the electric M models may hit the North American market as 2028MY versions, potentially featuring over 800 horsepower.
As for regular iX4 production, rumors suggest it will commence in November. While previous X4 generations were manufactured in South Carolina, the electric successor is expected to be produced at BMW’s Debrecen plant in Hungary, where the iX3 is currently being produced. A second shift is being added to meet the high demand for the iX3.
With more details continuing to emerge from BMW’s website leak, there is much anticipation surrounding the upcoming 2027 model year lineup. Although some information may change, the models listed on the website offer a significant preview of what’s to come.
