Searching for the Missing Pro: The Colorful Nothing Phone Saga

Nothing has officially unveiled the Phone (4a) in all its color variations at the prestigious Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The London-based tech company presented the devices under the sunny skies of Barcelona, albeit currently behind glass.

The complete revelation of the Nothing Phone (4a) is set to take place on March 5th at an event in London, with the company not holding back in showcasing the device beforehand. Its counterpart, the Phone (4a) Pro, remains somewhat of a mystery at this point, although its existence is acknowledged.

Prior to this unveiling, Nothing had only displayed the Phone (4a) in white and pink. However, the full set now includes the expected black variant and a striking blue option. The blue hue, resembling the pink variant, exudes a captivating effect, especially when exposed to bright sunlight.

The signature transparent design synonymous with Nothing truly shines on these phones, featuring a camera layout reminiscent of the Nothing Phone (3a) introduced in 2025.

Carl Pei, the founder of Nothing and former OnePlus executive, had previously hinted at the (a) series phone becoming the company’s top-selling model. The objective of the Phone (4a) is to elevate performance standards closer to flagship levels, potentially leading to a slight increase in pricing.

In light of this, the release of a Nothing Phone (4) is not on the immediate horizon. Instead, these mid-range devices are positioned to offer potent performance at an affordable price point. The Nothing Phone (4a) is anticipated to feature a triple 50Mp camera system on the rear, accompanied by the new Glyph Bar, a refined version of the LED system on the phone’s back.

Powering the device is expected to be the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, while the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro is projected to boast a slightly larger display and a more potent camera system. However, Nothing refrained from teasing the Pro model at MWC 2026, focusing solely on the standard variant.

Upon physical inspection, it becomes evident that these devices offer substantial design value for the price, distinguishing themselves from competitors that often feature mundane, monochromatic designs. The Nothing Phone (4a) is a testament to unique and eye-catching design in the smartphone market.
