Xsensio’s Cutting-Edge Wearable Chip Secures €6 Million Funding for Real-Time Protein and Hormone Analysis
Xsensio, a innovative DeepTech company based in Lausanne, has recently announced the successful completion of a €6 million ($7 million) oversubscribed Series A funding round. The round was led by VC firm WI Harper, with participation from Privilège Ventures, the European Innovation Council, and private investors from the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Esmeralda Megally, the CEO of Xsensio, expressed the significance of this Series A round in advancing continuous biochemical monitoring into real clinical settings. She highlighted the potential for clinicians to access crucial biochemical data in real-time, a capability that has the power to revolutionize patient monitoring and treatment.
Xsensio operates in the European wearable and continuous biosensing sector, which has been experiencing a steady influx of funding throughout 2025 and early 2026. Several other startups in the region have also secured substantial funding for their health monitoring technologies, indicating a growing interest in real-time healthcare monitoring solutions.
Adrian Ionescu, the CTO of Xsensio, emphasized the collaboration with Texas Instruments as a key factor in advancing their semiconductor technology. By combining biosensing innovation with semiconductor expertise, Xsensio aims to create a platform that not only has a clinical impact but also offers reliable and cost-effective deployment.
Founded in 2014, Xsensio is working on the Lab-on-Skin wearable biosensing platform, which provides continuous, real-time biochemical information for personalized and preventive healthcare. The platform focuses on early detection of organ dysfunction by analyzing biomarkers in the interstitial fluid.
Xsensio’s scalable platform integrates multiple sensors targeting various biomarkers and is customizable for diverse clinical use cases. The data collected is securely available in real-time, enabling early interventions and personalized care for patients.
The company’s collaboration with Texas Instruments brings expertise in CMOS integration, miniaturization, and large-scale manufacturability, enhancing Xsensio’s industrial scalability.
In conclusion, Xsensio is at the forefront of defining a new category in wearable biosensing. With strong progress and market potential, the company is well-positioned to lead the way in real-time healthcare monitoring technologies.
