Enhancing Google’s AI Responses with Prominent Inline Links
Google Enhances AI Search Results with More Inline Links
Google is implementing updates to its AI search results to ensure that inline links are more prominently featured and appear more frequently. This move, as described in a recent blog post, aims to provide users with faster access to relevant information by displaying customized views with inline links instead of the traditional list of search results.
Changes to Google’s AI Search Results
In addition to enhancing the visibility of inline links, Google is introducing several other modifications to its AI search results. For specific queries, Google will now display relevant links at the top of the response along with contextual information. Furthermore, the company is expanding the use of link carousels for timely articles and improving the design of clickable links to make them more engaging and prominent. Google is also testing clickable links in AI mode for search profiles related to publishers and creators.
Google’s “News AI” Pilot Program
Google has revealed that over 400 publishers are participating in its “News AI” pilot program, which was launched in December. This program involves compensating publishers for providing enhanced content to develop new AI features, such as in-depth article overviews on Google News publisher pages. Notable partners, including Axios, CNN, and the Financial Times, have recently joined the program.
