Samsung Health Introduces New Sleep Coaching Feature

Users can now benefit from a more streamlined sleep tracking process thanks to Samsung Health’s latest update. By filling out a survey detailing their alcohol/caffeine intake and sleep satisfaction, users can now receive a personalized sleep animal after just three days of tracking over a two-week period.

Samsung’s approach to sleep tracking, considered one of the best alongside Huawei, allows users to access actionable insights much quicker than before.

The presentation of sleep data in the Samsung Health app has been revamped. Users can now view a pentagon-shaped Sleep Balance graph featuring key areas such as sleep time, sleep regularity, time spent awake, sleep satisfaction, and Energy Score.

To access the Sleep Coaching feature, users need Samsung Health v6.24 or newer on a Galaxy phone running Android 11 or later, paired with a Galaxy Watch 4 or newer, Galaxy Fit 3 or newer, or Galaxy Ring.

In addition to the sleep tracking update, Samsung has enhanced its Running Coach feature by introducing two more levels beyond the previous cap of 10. This improvement caters to dedicated runners looking for guided software support.

The timing of this update aligns well with the recent release of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 and the rugged Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, providing them with a competitive edge, especially following the unveiling of Apple Watch alternatives.
