Bugatti’s Final W-16 Masterpiece Gets a Golden Touch

The Sur Mesure division of Bugatti, established in 2021, specializes in customizing their supercars to make them truly unique. Customers have the option to choose materials and paintwork to personalize their Bugatti cars.

Their latest project, the W16 Mistral “La Perle Rare,” showcases customizations both inside and out, transforming the hypercar into a personalized masterpiece. The goal of “La Perle Rare” is to enhance the Mistral’s uniqueness with a sculptural, flowing aesthetic reminiscent of Bugatti’s past creations.

The exterior features organic curved lines in white and gold, hand-applied to create a striking visual effect. The interior boasts white upholstery with gold and white flowing lines on the door panels, creating a liquid-like appearance. Ambient lighting and polished aluminum trimmings further enhance the luxurious interior.

The iconic “Dancing Elephant” image is stitched into the seats and featured on the doors and gear selector, adding a touch of elegance to the interior. The name “La Perle Rare” is scripted on various parts of the car, including the engine covers and center tunnel.

The Mistral retains its powerful quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W16 engine, producing up to 1,578 horsepower and reaching a top speed of 260 mph. The Mistral is the last Bugatti to feature this engine, making it a truly special model.

While Bugatti has not disclosed the price of the “La Perle Rare” Mistral, it is expected to cost more than $5 million, the initial price announced for the Mistral upon its reveal.
