Starfield is coming to the PS5 and getting a pair of major updates in April

Bethesda Announces Major Updates for Starfield, Including PS5 Launch

Following numerous speculations, Bethesda has officially confirmed that their highly anticipated sci-fi game Starfield will be making its way to the PS5. The game is set to release on April 7th, accompanied by two significant updates — one paid and one free. Bethesda has labeled this combination as “the biggest update to the game since launch.”

The paid expansion, titled Terran Armada, will introduce a new storyline to the game reminiscent of the 2024 release Shattered Space. Players can expect a fresh questline featuring new characters, locations, enemies, and quests. According to Bethesda, the DLC will allow players to influence the future of humanity in space by combating the robotic forces of the Terran Armada.

In addition to the paid expansion, Bethesda is also rolling out a free update named “Free Lanes,” which promises to enrich the gaming experience. This update includes new locations to explore, additional resources for weapon and ship upgrades, a new land vehicle, improved storage access at various outposts, new crew members to recruit, and enhancements to the New Game Plus mode.

Described as “the next chapter for Starfield,” these updates aim to deliver a more comprehensive and polished gaming experience to a wider audience as the game universe continues to expand. Bethesda has also announced a price reduction for the base version of Starfield, now priced at $49.99, in a bid to attract new players.
