Exciting News for Gamers: Peak Coming to Consoles!
After a successful final content update in August, Landfall and Aggro Crab are thrilled to announce that Peak will be launching on consoles next week on October 22nd. Additionally, a physical edition for the PS5 will be released on December 9th. Gamers, get ready!
Peak will be available digitally on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2, with full cross-play functionality between consoles and the original Steam version. This means players can enjoy the game with friends regardless of their console choice.
The physical release of Peak is exclusive to PS5 and is being released in collaboration with Skybound Games. Pre-orders are now open, priced at $19.99 US / €19.99 / £14.99. The physical edition comes with some special bonuses, including a printed Scout Passport filled with stickers. Even more exciting is the inclusion of a Buddy Code, allowing players to gift a digital copy of the game to a friend for multiplayer fun.
The latest update for Peak, titled The Final Ascent, was introduced in August. The development team had expressed a desire to conclude the game’s content to focus on new projects, much to the disappointment of fans. However, The Final Ascent update brought significant additions, including two new biomes – Gloom and The Citadel, which rotate alongside Caldera and The Kiln.
In 2025, Peak was honored with the Best Multiplayer award. Miguel praised the game, stating, “PEAK represents the best of the ‘friendslop’ genre, offering the most enjoyable multiplayer experience this year. It is a remarkable achievement in online gaming.” The game’s success marked a shift in multiplayer gaming culture, emphasizing co-op gameplay and chaotic fun.
