April 2026 PlayStation Plus Essential Games Lineup Revealed [Updated]

Breaking News – April 1st: Sony has officially confirmed the lineup for April 2026’s PlayStation Plus Monthly games. The games include Lords of the Fallen from 2023, Sword Art Online: Fractured Dream, and Tomb Raider I-III Remastered. Surprisingly, this brings the total to five games for this month.

Here’s the leaked report:

Billbil-kun from Dealabs has revealed two of the essential PlayStation Plus games for April 2026. Leading the pack is Lords of the Fallen from 2023, followed by Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream.

Unfortunately, our review of Lords of The Fallen was not favorable, with Jason giving it a 4/10 rating and stating, “I desperately want to like Lords of the Fallen, but it’s the first game all year that’s actively annoyed me.” Despite mixed reviews, the game holds a Metacritic rating of 70 on PlayStation 5.

As for Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream, there are limited critic reviews available, with a Metacritic score of 68 for the PS5 version.

Update: Lastly, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered received a modernizing touch from Aspyr, enhancing graphics and controls for a more contemporary gaming experience.

Our review mentioned, “Lara’s original trilogy has been lovingly restored with the launch of these remasters, offering a definitive collection that bundles the core games and their expansions.” However, the clunky controls may require some adjustment for players.

If the leaks hold true, it seems like a somewhat average month for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

The March PlayStation Plus games are still accessible for download, featuring:

• Monster Hunter Rise
• The Elder Scrolls Online
• Slime Rancher 2

All these titles will be available until April 6th, 2026, for PlayStation Plus members.

Among these, Monster Hunter Rise stands out, with our review praising it as “an incredible game” and one of the best titles for the Nintendo Switch. The game’s streamlined gameplay and focus on monster battles make it a standout in the Monster Hunter series.
