Breaking News: Samsung Galaxy A27’s Geekbench Performance Revealed!

The Samsung Galaxy A27 was expected to launch alongside the Galaxy A57 and A37 but was not revealed during their announcement. According to recent Geekbench listings, the delay may be due to a significant change in the chipset.

The Geekbench results showed the A27 scoring well in both single-core and multi-core tests, with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, which is a departure from Samsung’s usual Exynos chips for budget phones.

Samsung typically uses Exynos chips for its budget phones like the Galaxy A57 and A37, as well as the previous Galaxy A26. However, the A27’s listing with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset is a surprising shift in strategy.

The use of the Snapdragon chipset in the A27 is not unprecedented, as it was also used in the previous-generation Galaxy A36. The inclusion of this Qualcomm chip in a budget device like the A27 may be the reason for the delay.

The tested A27 model has 6GB of RAM, but there may be different configurations available, as the 256GB version of the A26 comes with 8GB of RAM.

It is unclear at this time if the Galaxy A27 will see a price increase due to the newer CPU, but Samsung’s pricing strategy for 2026 suggests that there is a possibility. The Galaxy A57 and Galaxy S26 ranges have already seen price increases compared to their predecessors.

Even existing models like the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and S25 Edge are set to become more expensive in South Korea. The trend of price hikes across Samsung’s phone lineup for 2026 may continue.
