According to the latest release notes on Nest devices’ Google support pages from April 13, Google has enhanced media and playlist support for Gemini. The smart speaker is now better at recognizing personal playlists, even with slight name variations or in noisy environments.

Recognition errors have been minimized, and the “pause” command now responds more promptly than before.

Post-update, Gemini for Home has improved its ability to recognize list and note editing requests. It can perform more complex tasks like converting notes to lists or organizing specific items.

Overall, Gemini for Home now engages in more seamless conversations, adjusting its pace based on your speech speed. Contextual understanding has been enhanced, and responses to simple queries about time and date are quicker.

Google has also introduced parental controls and digital wellbeing tools, enabling users to set content filters, manage screen time, and pause device access through the Google Home app.
