Microsoft planning Surface Laptop with an OLED display

Exciting Updates Coming for Microsoft Surface Pro and Surface Laptop Models

In the tech world, anticipation is building as Microsoft gears up to release new Surface Pro and Surface Laptop models in the near future. According to Windows Central, these upgraded devices will feature a mix of Intel and Qualcomm variants, with a notable addition of OLED displays for the Surface Laptop lineup.

The launch strategy is expected to kick off with models powered by Intel’s Core Ultra Series 3 chips, followed by Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 versions later in the summer. This shift in release order is reportedly due to limited availability of Qualcomm’s latest chips, marking a departure from Microsoft’s previous trend of prioritizing Qualcomm-powered Surface devices.

For those eyeing the Surface Laptop, the OLED display will be a premium feature reserved for high-end configurations, while entry-level models will sport IPS panels. Additionally, select models will boast higher resolution screens to cater to varying user preferences.

Beyond hardware upgrades, Microsoft is also enhancing the haptics system on its upcoming Surface devices to align with recent developments in Windows 11. This improvement will enable users to experience tactile feedback effects when interacting with compatible input devices, enhancing tasks like object alignment in PowerPoint and window management.

Traditionally, Microsoft unveils its refreshed Surface models around May to June each year, hinting that official details on these exciting updates could be on the horizon. Stay tuned for more information as the release date approaches.
