iOS 27 will add three new features to Apple’s Photos app, per report

Apple is gearing up to unveil iOS 27 at WWDC, promising significant design changes and new features for various apps like Camera, Safari, and Weather.

iOS 27 to include design changes, new features for many apps

According to a report from Bloomebrg, iOS 27 will bring noticeable design alterations across multiple areas to enhance the Liquid Glass design language.

The Camera app is set to undergo a major revamp, offering full customization options in iOS 27. Users will have the ability to personalize their set of controls, referred to as “widgets,” at the top of the Camera app interface.

Safari will introduce a new start page with four tabs, making it easier to navigate between favorites, bookmarks, a reading list, and browsing history.

Additionally, the Weather app will feature a new “Conditions” section on its main page, providing users with detailed data on aspects like rain and wind directly on the main screen.

Apple will be merging the search tab with other tabs in apps such as Podcasts, TV, Music, Health, and News, reversing a design change from iOS 26. A new animation will showcase keys sliding up from the bottom when the on-screen keyboard is activated.

The Image Playground app in iOS 27 has been entirely redesigned, with the addition of a “describe a change” feature for easy image editing post-creation. Enhanced models have also been tested to make images created within the app more realistic.
