BMW 6 Series Convertible Engulfed in Flames on Singapore’s Seletar Expressway

On a Monday morning, a shocking incident unfolded on Singapore’s Seletar Expressway (SLE) as a BMW 6 Series Convertible was seen engulfed in flames amidst live traffic. The dramatic occurrence took place around 8:15 AM towards the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE), just before the Lentor Avenue exit.

Social media videos capturing the scene revealed the BMW ablaze in the fourth lane, with thick smoke billowing high above the expressway. Authorities, including a police vehicle, were present at the site to secure the area as the situation escalated. Evidence of skid marks and scattered debris across the lanes indicated a sudden loss of control.

Initial reports hinted that the BMW 6 Series Convertible might have self-skidded before colliding with roadside railings and subsequently catching fire.

The swift response of firefighters from the Singapore Civil Defence Force helped bring the situation under control using a water jet.

According to reports, a 34-year-old male passenger was conscious when transported to Sengkang General Hospital, while the 26-year-old female driver is currently cooperating with authorities in their investigations.
