MINI is shaking up its iconic style with the launch of the Rooftop Edition as part of the 2026 Icon Drops campaign. This limited edition release plays with the brand’s signature contrast roof, offering a unique twist on the classic MINI design.

The Rooftop Edition showcases MINI’s playful approach to design, turning its own signature upside down by offering a new take on the contrast roof concept. By allowing buyers to mix and match the two paint colors, MINI creates a visually striking and personalized look for each vehicle.

Continuing the theme, the bonnet and rear stripes of the Rooftop Edition are color-matched to the roof, adding a cohesive touch to the overall appearance. This attention to detail elevates the design and ensures a polished finish.

Inside, the focus remains on the unique exterior with Vescin Black upholstery, black knit accents, and John Cooper Works sport seats. The minimalist cabin design complements the bold exterior, creating a harmonious aesthetic.

Powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the Cooper S models offer performance to match their distinctive looks. While specific output figures for the Rooftop Edition have not been disclosed, the emphasis is on the visual enhancements rather than mechanical changes.

The MINI Rooftop Edition is priced at $39,995 for the 2 Door and $40,995 for the 4 Door, excluding a $1,350 destination charge. This includes the Iconic Trim with Comfort Package Plus, Favoured Style package, 17-inch U-Spoke Grey wheels, power front seats, and the Rooftop Edition content.

As the fifth release in the 2026 campaign, the Rooftop Edition follows a series of unique MINI models, each offering a fresh take on the brand’s heritage. Production is set to commence in September, with U.S. dealer deliveries scheduled for October.
