Googlebook Unveiled: The Official Launch Event Confirmed
Google to Showcase Googlebooks at IFA 2026 in Berlin
Instead of getting lost among the myriad new devices at IFA 2026 in Berlin starting on 4 September, Google has decided to shine the spotlight on their Googlebooks.
The first wave of Googlebooks from manufacturers like Dell, Acer, Asus, HP, and Lenovo will be unveiled at the event, as Google has opted not to produce its own devices.
Update: The Googlebook launch event on 15 September will be a behind-closed-doors media preview, with no public announcements planned.
Key Highlights of the Googlebook Launch Event
The event will feature a keynote speech by a senior Google leader, introducing the new laptop operating system that combines Chrome OS and Android.
Attendees will have the opportunity to test the new devices at OEM demo stations. Expect to see eight devices, including traditional clamshell laptops, a tablet, and the innovative Gemini at the core, along with features like the Glowbar on the lid.
In addition to the product showcase, attendees anticipate learning about pricing and release dates for the Googlebook lineup. For live updates from the event, follow our sister publication, PCWorld.
